North Shore Minnesota cabins, designed for rest.
Set on 17 forested acres above Lake Superior, Tofte Trails offers beautifully designed cabins built with reclaimed wood, expansive windows, and warm modern interiors that reflect the surrounding landscape.
Minutes from Grand Marais, Lutsen, and Oberg Mountain, days unfold on scenic trails and along rugged shoreline cliffs. Evenings return to firelight, fresh lake air, and slow moments back at the cabin.
Designed for couples, solo stays and dogs welcome, Tofte Trails is where adventure and restoration meet.
Crafted With Care
Built by a husband-and-wife team, Tofte Trails was created with intention from the ground up. Reclaimed barn wood, hand-poured concrete, locally made ceramics, and custom details reflect a deep respect for craftsmanship, sustainability, and place.
These cabins were designed to help you slow down — where modern touches meet the warmth of aged wood, and the rhythm of Lake Superior gently pulls you back to yourself.
Space to Breathe.
High above Lake Superior, mornings begin with fresh air drifting through the trees. Evenings end beneath dark skies and the steady rhythm of the North Shore.
